Was just talking about this the other day. People give us weird looks in the grocery store when our kids are asking for broccoli and asparagus!

I’m sure by now you all know of the Abercrombie CEO’s moronic comments and brand policies… this guy’s on a mission to sabotage that by giving A&F to the homeless. Brilliant.

If I had any Abercrombie, I’d do the same, but their gross smelling perfumed doorways have kept me from ever being interested in entering.

This is an awesome campaign.

It’s no secret that the world’s ocean trash problem is getting bad; looking at a handful of images from the Texas-sized Pacific garbage patch should be enough to convince anyone. As for all of our litter that doesn’t end up in the middle of the ocean? It often stays close to shore, where volunteers for Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup pick some of it up, cataloging all the items they find.

Calvin: If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently.
Hobbes: How so?
Calvin: Well, when you look into infinity, you realize that there are more important things than what people do all day.

When Our Powers Combine

Who can tell me that they did not like this show when it was on? I mean Whoopie as Mother Earth and Larvar Bertan . Just thought I would share a fun memory that I recently remembered.

“MILK GIVES YOU STRONG BONES” MYTH DEBUNKED – Why the dairy industry doesn’t campaign the strong bones mantra anymore:The truth is the dairy industry never had the science to prove this claim. When research was requested to prove that animal milk (such as cow’s/goat’s/sheep’s, etc. milk) gives humans strong bones, they quickly discovered that animal milk consumption actually does the opposite – it depletes the body from calcium. How does animal milk deplete your body from calcium? Like all animal protein, animal milk acidifies the body pH which in turn triggers a biological correction, and it turns out that calcium is an excellent acid neutralizer. The biggest storage of calcium in the body is obviously in the bones. So the very same calcium that our bones need to stay strong is utilized to neutralize the acidifying effect of animal milk. Once calcium is pulled out of the bones, it leaves the body via the urine so that the surprising net result after this is an actual calcium deficit and possible kidney stones. Knowing this, you will understand why statistics show that countries with the lowest consumption of dairy products also have the lowest fracture incidence in their population.Source: www.milkdocumentary.comWatch the trailer for the Milk Documentary here:www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m6VErjH5VYSee some of the dairy alternatives in the US here (not in the US? I’m down with almond milk. No cow-boob juice.
